Have you ever wondered why Disney chose to give Herc strawberry-blonde hair instead of black like the myth? I figure it's because it better suits his personality in the movie. In the myth he's very full of himself, and a little pompous. In the movie, however, he's really sweet and naive. Plus, I think the fact that Gaston was muscular and had black hair...Maybe they didn't want people to associate one withthe other.

It never really crossed my mind. But I'm glad for the color choice. It does give him a sense of innocence.
Eric has black hair.

Yes indeed. You know, I have been reading some of my old Herc movie books, and they are just reminding me of all the little details that make Hercules such a great character.
