Well, if she didn't know then she would probably be VERY confused when Herc turned into a god and got a hug from Zeus & Hera!

She must have known. After all, she was working with Hades.

Well, for almost getting Herc killed, you'd think she'd be in major trouble with Zeus and Hera.

Note who her father is: Even Disney can't deny that she is, in fact, a princess.......a princess married to a demi-god. What, what?

Wonderful scan, Amber! The Disney Dossiers is a great book!
I'm still a little skeptical though ... I like thinking that, unless something is directly alluded to in a Disney feature, it probably isn't true. Don't forget that the Walt Disney company now also claims Mulan's a "princess" when she never was. :\

Yeah, there are some biographical errors, but it is printed by a Disney publishing company, which adds credibility. I would be far more skeptical if it was printed by a company with no affiliations to Disney.
As far as Mulan is concerned, I think the only reason they made her a "princess" was to add some diversity to the Princess Collection, same with Tiana. If they had mentioned Meg being royalty, it would have subtracted from Hercules being a god, and she would "mar" the title of princess by working with the villain. Disney has to keep their princesses squeaky-clean.
....I've thought about this far too much haha....

*late to join the convo* My opinion on the princess thing is it has turned less into literal royalty, and into pretty much any main female lead. It's funny how Meg is a princess in the myths yet I've yet to find her included in official Disney Princess stuff...
Maybe er the princess line is .... okay I'm at a loss.
