Of course Christmas comes first...but this might just beat my Birthday. It would depend...what woul I do on my birthday? Dude, that's the day you were born. It's not about what you'd "do" on that day. If you weren't born, you wouldn't be able to rejoice in the glory that is Herc.

Ack. Here I am, characteristically late ... again. ^~
This is why I adore Disney message boards; people actually know who Princess Eilonwy and Princess Kidagakash are! [hugs Jennifer]
While I don't personally see Meg as a princess at all, I think that she is neglected as a "Disney Princess" because she is too independent; she doesn’t immediately reinforce the idea of alarmingly sweet, feminine gentleness as, for example, Aurora and Belle do. Also, films like "Cinderella" and "The Little Mermaid" are recognizable classics. "Hercules," unfortunately, hasn’t captured that status on an enormous level yet. (But having a "cult" following isn’t too bad, is it?)
I agree completely! Characters like Esmeralda, Mulan, and Jane Porter deserve to be celebrated even if they aren't considered princesses.

They do deserve credit as much as the princesses.

Good Points there, Emma. Yeah, the Meg = Disney Princess can be debatable, because it is never made totally clear in the movie as to whether she is or not. It just gets to me that Mulan is included...and she is DEFINATLEY not a Princess. It really get's me. Meg is more of a Princess then Mulan, because she marries Herc, who is the son of the King and Queen of the God's. I do love Mulan, so don't get me wrong...but I just don't get how she got in there and Meg didn't.
Actually, I do know. As Jen said, Meg wasn't a "Good Guy" through the whole movie...so they probably think that image would be a bad one to promote. But...the thing is...NO ONE is good ALL the time. In a sense...that is what makes Meg so relatable.
But, reguardless of the fact if they are Princess', as you said, all Heroines deserve attention, not just the Princess'.

I think Meg deserves to be a princess because she's one in Greek mythology, right?
Just wait until I finish my next fan fic..... *evil grin* ;D then Meg will get the recognition she deserves!

I just want her to get proper recognition. I want them all to get proper recongnition. It's not fair that just because they aren't all "Princess'"they don't get ANY attention.

I guess all the little girls want to be princesses, so they turn to the main 4. Jasmine, Snow White, Aurora, and Belle. (Though Belle isn't a princesses until she marries prince Adam)
